Romance Rehab | 1 comments I'm struggling a bit with PNR these days. I like a good blend of action, funny stuff, emotion, and sexy times. Too often PNR reads are too dark, or too slap-stick funny--and I'm looking for something in the middle. The last really great PNR I've read was the Harper Hall series. So, if anyone can suggest something like that, I'm all ears:

Semi-Charmed (Harper Hall Investigations, #1) by Isabel Jordan Semi-Human (Harper Hall Investigations, #2) by Isabel Jordan Semi-Twisted (Harper Hall Investigations, Book 3) by Isabel Jordan Semi-Broken (Harper Hall Investigations, #4) by Isabel Jordan

DemetraP | 58 comments Awesome fantasy romance. Kael conquered four Kingdoms to save them from tyrants after he is made a slave in the mines. His chamberlain writes to every Kingdom asking for a bride for the King. The King has refused to bed any woman after he finds out women were sleeping with him because they thought he was a tyrant.

Everyone is afraid of the King and no one comes. But one family wants to get rid of their princess so they send her. Kael falls in love with her but she thinks he's a tyrant so she says she doesn't want him.

They go on a quest together to save her parent's kingdom and they fall in love.

This book made me laugh out loud so many times. It has funny moments and it's very hot to see what Kael is thinking about her and what she is thinking about him.

This is an amazing fantasy romance and it's going to be a comfort read for me. I see myself re-reading this book many times. The Midwinter Mail-Order Bride

DemetraP | 58 comments I've been reading some alien romances.

Drixonian series by Ella Maven. The aliens ride "hover bikes" have piercings in unusual places, and all of their women and most children died from a virus. So when they accidentally rescue some humans, everybody is surprised.

Anna and the Alien by Honey Phillips. This author writes books with the next letter of the alphabet I think she's up to letter Q at this point. I've enjoyed them all but the Kraken one was the funniest. Drixonian Warriors The Complete Series by Ella Maven Anna and the Alien (Alien Abduction, #1) by Honey Phillips

KarenMac | 1 comments Just finished Jane Cousins A Demon Is Forever (Book2 Vexatious Valkyries)
No one does bloodthirsty banter better than this author. So many laughs, and major sizzle.

A Demon Is Forever (Vexatious Valkyries, #2) by Jane Cousins

Though do yourself a favour and read book one first - What's Up, Buttercup? Just as many laughs and hot, hot, hot.

What's Up, Buttercup? (Vexatious Valkyries, #1) by Jane Cousins

DemetraP | 58 comments Guarded by the Snake Monster Security Agency by Layla Fae The hero is a snake guy (shehru) with bulletproof scales, two sets of genitals, and a very long snake tail. He also has fangs and can kill with venom. Everyone is afraid of him, even his boss. He works as a bodyguard.

The heroine is a thief (she has a very good reason for becoming a thief) and after she steals from a bad man she is trying to get revenge on, she needs a bodyguard to keep her alive while she figures out her next steps.

Since the hero is a snake, he has a hard time when she fidgets because he is naturally attracted to movement, it screams "prey" to his instincts. Heroine loves to fidget.

They are stuck together 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, while he guards her. They fall in love.

The steamy moments are very steamy. He likes to talk dirty to her and praise her. He tells her she's beautiful and she's his good girl and his pet. He likes to wrap her up in the coils of his snake tail and restrain her. Everything is done with her consent.

I will definitely re-read this book.

Examples of the hero's dirty talking:

"You're taking me so well, pet. So good."
"Shh, sweetheart. It's all right. I have you. It's all right. I'm here. I'll fill you right up. Is this what you want? You like feeling full?"
"So gorgeous. This is where you belong, pet. With my c*** inside you. This is what you're made for. To come all over me when I f*** you. Now be a good girl and take a bit more. Just a little. You can do it."

✿ Natalie ✿ | 428 comments I’m currently reading the Age of Vampires series Eternal Reign (Age of Vampires #1) by Caroline Peckham by Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti.

I’ve been on the lookout for a good paranormal romance series with vampires for a while, and I’m enjoying this one.
It follows two sisters - one who ends up with the vampires, and the other with the vampire slayers.
