You have a huge selection to choose from either physical or mental disabilities. I put a thread to help on the discussion thread that should give ideas but there are sooo many options from blindness to dyslexia to depression etc. Check on listopia for help on books

P.S. you can even look at the other teams threads to see what the other players are reading for ideas

After a very quick look at your TBR shelf, Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine would fit the Disability shelf, if you're in the mood to read it now.

I was expecting this to be like The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, but it isn't quite like that one.
This book tells the story of Pierrot a boy whose father was german and his mother was french, soon he is orphaned and goes to live with his aunt in Berghof, one of the residences of Hitler.
Pierrot learns from the Fürher his vision, and we see a 7 year old boy transform into a german nationalist, practically a nazi, it's super tougth to see that transformation. That's why I think one must have some criteria to read this book, to read it critically.
Pierrot did some terrible things while living in Berghof and I really couldn't believe what I was reading.

Anyways, I really like the way of telling stories that John Boyne has, his books read really fast and are some kind of page-turners for me.

The story of Izzy, the daughter of a famous author, and Ransom, a formerly rakish duke who turned into a recluse after an injury that cost him his sight.

The two meet when Izzy arrives at Ransom's ancestral home that she believes has been left to her in an inheritance by a fan of her late father's work. Unfortunately, the castle is not as abandoned as she was led to believe, and neither she nor Ransom are willing to leave.

They eventually come to an agreement to share the castle while they get to the truth, with Izzy working as Ransom's secretary and helping him get through the mountain of his correspondence that they hope will provide some answers.

They are each exactly what the other needs, and the more time they spend together, the more attached they become, giving Izzy the chance to experience some of the things she'd been longing for, and Ransom the affection he lacked all his life.

They inevitably fall in love, but they have to overcome a few of their issues and deal with the reason that brought them together in the first place before getting their happy ending.

It turns out that (view spoiler).

A light and fun story with a disabled but very much able hero and a (view spoiler) heroine, that kept me engaged and entertained from the first page until the happily ever after ending.

The series continues with another stoy set in a castle, Say Yes to the Marquess.

Rue is dealing with the consequences of their last adventure. Also things from the past are kind of making things difficult for her. I liked how she dealt with everything. One of my favorite parts are all the interactions between Prim and the werelioness. I'm really excited to get to the next book since it seems to be from Prim's perspective. As always there was alot of action and I loved the descriptions of different places and people. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with the rest of this series.

I was quite hesitant to read this, but I was in the mood for something light and different, and going by a number of friend reviews, this fit the bill.

It is the story of Georgie, a young woman who wakes up in the hull of a spaceship among many others, abducted by aliens who meant to sell them.

I wasn't sure if I actually wanted to continue with the story after a few pages, since (view spoiler), which was the opposite of the light and fluffy vibe I was going for, but I kept going.

The girls end up abandoned in an inhospitable, icy planet, and Georgie sets out to find food and shelter for them all. Instead, she finds Vektal, a blue alien who speaks a language she cannot understand and who takes care of her and teaches her how to survive in his planet, before eventually helping her save her friends.

Apparently, (view spoiler). Unexpected, and a bit icky if I'm being honest.

I couldn't decide whether I like the story or not, but I was certainly intrigued by the world the author created and am curious enough that I will probably continue the series at some point, if only to see whether I like it more after becoming a bit familiar with all the strangeness. Vektal and Georgie's story continues in Ice Planet Honeymoon: Vektal and Georgie.

I picked this one up because I wanted to learn more about the Princes in the tower and a bit more about their story. I have heard of them before, but in little detail. Sadly I still didnt get much on their story as most of this book was the back story on why they were sent the tower and about their father, uncle and various other relatives that all seemed to be fighting for the crown and will do what ever it in their power to get it.

I did not like this one as much as I did the first, it is about Louisa moving to New York and working for a couple of rich folks, of course she is accused of stealing money and covers for the wife which gets her fired, and also doenst help with her boyfriend situation. She meets a new guy who reminds her a lot of Will , but in the end it doesn't work out and she gets back with Sam who she must have met in the 2nd book.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. It was first time read for this author and I really enjoyed it. The book takes place off the coast of Korea back in the late 1930s. The book is centered around the women of this island who are divers. They dive for abalone, sea urchins, sea cucumbers. I thought the author did a lovely job of describing life on this island. There were some very sad parts and there were some smiles. It was different feel than the usual historical fiction that Ive been reading over the past year that takes place in War torn Europe during WWII. I hope to add another book by this author to my ever growing TBR soon.

The adventures of SEAL Team 7 continue, and the story begins with Seth "Rawls" Rawlings experiencing an out of body experience after getting shot. He is brought back from death by Kait's healing gift, but the ghost of one of their recently deceased enemies has managed to tag along too and is hellbent on torturing him.

He keeps his little problem a secret from everyone, including the very pragmatic lab doctor Faith Ansell. Faith ended up with the team when they saved her life from their enemies who kidnapped her colleagues, and has been trying to decide whether to trust them with the secrets of what they were really working on or not.

The two of them are immediately attracted to one another by try to fight it, until (view spoiler).

I did not like Faith and how much of a hypocrite she was, considering that (view spoiler).

I remember liking the previous stories of the series a lot more, but perhaps that wasa because of their couples, whom we get to see quite a lot in this book too. It felt quite dense, with points of view from the main couple, one of the main villains and the team's commander Mac, foreshadowing his story that follows in Forged in Ember. By the end of the book Rawls and Faith have gotten their happily ever after, but the team is still in trouble since their enemies are far from vanquished.

The series continues with the novella Bound by Deception and the story of the former Navy SEAL turned police detective Dante "Rio" Addario.

Wolf shifter and former Navy SEAL Brock Greystoke isn't interested in she-wolves. The last one in his life ambushed him with the intent to kill. So when he's tasked with helping his cousin's friend get to a wedding, he has no intention of getting involved with her...

She-wolf Natalie Silverton has inadvertently crossed a group of dangerous criminals, and she's in dire need of a bodyguard. Good thing Brock is there to protect her. At every turn, their work—and play—brings them closer to catching the criminals and to each other, but Brock will have to get them out of this alive if he has any hope of winning Natalie's heart.

what its about:
Silence falls as the coffin is lifted out of the ground, yesterday’s rain cascading from it like a waterfall. Glancing into what should have been an empty grave, everyone gasps at the sight of blueish-white fingers exposed in the soil below...

When the body of a teenage runaway is found hidden inside someone else’s grave in a small-town cemetery in The Lake District, an urgent call is made to Forensic Pathologist Beth Adams. Still traumatised by a recent attempt on her own life, one look at the beautiful girl’s broken body is enough to bring Beth out of hiding for the first time since her attack. She’s the only one who can help her trusted friend, Detective Josh Walker, crack the most shocking case of his career.

Beth struggles to believe it’s a coincidence that the gravesite was scheduled to be exhumed, exposing the evidence. Does this twisted killer want to be caught?

Throwing herself into her work Beth discovers traces of material beneath the victim’s fingernails that sets the team on the killer’s trail. But this critical lead comes at a dangerous price, exposing Beth’s whereabouts and dragging her back into her attacker’s line of fire once again.

With Beth’s own life on the line, the investigation is already cracking under the pressure. Then another local girl goes missing… Can Beth stay alive long enough to catch the killer before he claims his next victim?

my thoughts
WOW this worked out perfect , because since Monday all ive been doing is reading thanks to us having a tornado here where I live and it took out the power and my internet, thank goodness i had this already download on my kindle from Netgalley, and wow what a story once I started reading I couldn't put it down , i had to know how the killer was , was Beth going to be a victim, was they going to stop him or her before it was to late and how in the world did the book called Collector by John Fowles fit into the story, so the big question is would I recommend it , yes I would . can't wait to read more of this series .

I've been meaning to read this book for ages!
I took me a while, but I loved the way it's narrated. Meeting the two main character through the WWII years was interesting, and eye opening.
Werner made me sad, he was born at the wrong age, he could've been a succesful engineer, he was so intelligent.
On the other sida, Marie Laure was super lucky in general I loved her relationship with her grand-uncle and how she managed to survive and live being blind in such difficult era.
There were chapters that were narrated from 1944, from "the end" of the main story, those made me pretty anxious.
The ones that were told through the lives of the two MC were more soothing, but I was waiting for the two storylines to encounter.

I don't want to give away too much, but I need to say it was a beautiful book, I really liked it and I can see why it is super acclamed.
