When Tessa Gray is met by Mrs. Dark and Mrs. Black, did you suspect they were lying right away?

No. Since I didn't know much about Tessa and her brother yet, I didn't have a reason to be suspicious.

I got a bad vibe immediately and thought something was up. It was the way they tried too hard to convince her they were legitimate.
