It is indeed Juan Miró.
The quote: “you can't get away from yourself by moving from one place to another” is from Hemingway, who had this painting in his private collection.
In 1987, it was donated to the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC by Mary Hemingway, the fourth wife and widow of Ernest Hemingway.
The painting is a kind of inventory of the masia (traditional Catalan farmhouse) owned by Miró’s family since 1911 in the town of Mont-roig del Camp. It was started in Spain 1921 and finished in Paris 1922.
