Letters between a girl in college and a boy she left back home.

Hello All, I came across a book in my last year of highs school (Approximately 2015-2016)
I don't remember much of what I had read of the first chapter but Ill write what I can, any help or suggestion at all would be appreciated.
1. it was a series of written letters between a girl who had moved away to college and a boy she had left back home.
2. In the first chapter there is something about her underwear? I can't remember if he took them out, saw them, or just joked about the underwear.
3. I think they were neighbors or childhood friends.
