SOLVED. Book was a Sci Fi book about a killer video game. [s]

So I read this book around 1997-2001, it was pretty think for a YA book had over 200 pages for sure, the cover was read and showed a guy slumped over a computer screen with his head on the keyboard he was dead and I think the computer screen said Game Over (I searched for books with that title but no luck) It was about either a video game coming into the real world and killing people or ppl who play a video game and die in it also die in real life, all I remember is the main protagonist, beat the bad guy by finding and using the "Armor of God"
