Brian's most recent book, Uncanny Collateral, is described (on Brian's Twitter) as "Harry Dresden meets Dog the Bounty Hunter in a fast-paced urban fantasy about a collection agent who works for the supernatural."

Silvana (silvaubrey) | 1616 comments Cool ep, thanks T&V! Fangirling so hard to this. I must get the book asap.
Another flintlock fantasy is coming! Squeee!
And Jeremy Irons and Paul Giamatti are perfect as Tamas and Adamat!

Mark (markmtz) | 2230 comments Dead Things by Stephen Blackmoore is the first book in the L.A. necromancer series discussed briefly in the podcast. I went to Amazon and it turns out I bought a copy in 2016 when it was on sale. This kind of serendipity is happening more frequently, the longer I'm involved in S+L. That's what happens when you spend too much time in the Kindle sale thread.

Mark (markmtz) | 2230 comments Just a reminder that Uncanny Collateral can be purchased directly from the author, in addition to the usual ebook vendors

Trike | 8155 comments I’m in. I created a character almost exactly like this for City of Heroes back in the day. GMTA

terpkristin | 4117 comments That was a lot of fun. I wasn't all that into Powder Mage when we read the first one, but I think I'll give the new one a try! :D

Rick | 2775 comments First Mark reminds me of Blackmoore's Eric Carter series (which I like a lot) and so... boom bought the newly released 4th in that series. Then it turns out that Uncanny Collateral is cheap from Brian( $4!!) so... there goes more money. Ah well...

Mark (markmtz) | 2230 comments I read Uncanny Collateral yesterday and got a kick out of it. I'd like to read more in this world. It turned out to be a warmup for (view spoiler).

Jannik (jann1k) | 51 comments Very fun read. Definitely up for more and wouldn't mind getting one of these novellas every few months or so :)
