All in the name of science.🤓

If it works, a new version of "Boeing Boeing" will be required.

At any point of time, they would all be floating in zero gravity. Which side would indeed be the right side up?🤔

message 468: by Ian (new)

Ian Miller | 269 comments I think the idea is that it is a spinning wheel to get centrifugal gravity, in which case the curvature would be on the outside, but that is where the force takes you. I suppose it could be on the inner side of a torus, but that would have its own issues.

Misleading. There is no general analytic solution to the three-body problem, although under certain circumstances such as a star, a planet, and something small Lagrange showed there are some special solutions. I think you will find that the AI merely did a lot of computations.

I checked NASA, and apparently there are five that could do real damage that are coming close in November, but they will miss by about 3 million miles. Don't panic :-)

Number 1: Arcturus

It is a star in the constellation Bootes (the herdsman). The name means bear keeper. It is a red giant, and is the 4th brightest star in our sky. It is actually quite close, only 36 light years away.
