Mr Ugly by Wol-vriey. He's a really underrated author! In Mr Ugly, you will be treated to a mixture of gore, horror and dark humor.

All of Barker's stories are great, but I'll nominate this as it would be an excellent place to start.

As you know I'm from Christchurch, so the news musn't have made it to you (view spoiler)[ On Friday afternoon a white supremacist killed 50 people praying at their mosques, wounding another 40 odd. My daughter and every other child in Christchurch were in lock-down at school until 6pm. I understand gun crime (and hate crime) is fairly common in some parts of the U.S. and certainly in many other parts of the world, but here it's just does not happen - until now of course. The whole country pretty much came to a standstill and we're all so totally devastated and shell shocked. I get up every morning and cry, but trying to focus on being a better person for those around me. The world will only be a better place if we make it that, right? (hide spoiler)]

Hence the need for my monsters to be of the non-human variety, I've got enough of that right here.
