ABANDONED. New Adult Alice in Wonderland book where Alice has to save dying stories

A few months back I was reading reviews for a trashy book and found within them a recommendation for a New Adult Alice in Wonderland-ish book where the plot revolves around Alice having to save a bunch of dying storybook characters by going between worlds and trying to revive their stories. The cover DEFINITELY had purple in it. I've already looked through all of the "Alice in Wonderland" lists on Goodreads. Any help would be much appreciated I've been looking for this book for MONTHS.

This was just a review? It reminds me so much of Jasper Fforde's books, but he hasn't written an Alice-led book yet.

Wow, his books look really cool but not quite what I was thinking of. The Eyre Affair sounds very close, I could have mixed it up with another book I was looking into at the time but the book I'm looking for is definitely in the same neighborhood as that one!
