Alex (mythoughtsescapeme) | 3 comments A few months back I was reading reviews for a trashy book and found within them a recommendation for a New Adult Alice in Wonderland-ish book where the plot revolves around Alice having to save a bunch of dying storybook characters by going between worlds and trying to revive their stories. The cover DEFINITELY had purple in it. I've already looked through all of the "Alice in Wonderland" lists on Goodreads. Any help would be much appreciated I've been looking for this book for MONTHS.

Bridget (oobridgetoo) | 171 comments Possibly Alice's Adventures in Underland by C.M. Stunich? It's a NA/Adult reverse harem. I've seen people in book groups talking about it recently. Allison's Adventures in Underland

Alex (mythoughtsescapeme) | 3 comments I looked into both of these but neither seems to match, thank you though!

Rosa (rosaiglarsh) | 5384 comments The Hazel Wood for the link.

Anna Troyer | 5 comments This was just a review? It reminds me so much of Jasper Fforde's books, but he hasn't written an Alice-led book yet.

Alex (mythoughtsescapeme) | 3 comments Wow, his books look really cool but not quite what I was thinking of. The Eyre Affair sounds very close, I could have mixed it up with another book I was looking into at the time but the book I'm looking for is definitely in the same neighborhood as that one! Thanks for introducing me to an awesome new author

Mai | 1280 comments Searching "retelling" "alice in wonderland" "new adult" I found this novel that seems to fit your description (and the cover is purple):
The Collectors’ Society by Heather Lyons
The Collectors’ Society (The Collectors’ Society, #1) by Heather Lyons
After years in Wonderland, Alice has returned to England as an adult, desperate to reclaim sanity and control over her life. An enigmatic gentleman with an intriguing job offer too tempting to resist changes her plans for a calm existence, though. Soon, she’s whisked to New York and initiated into the Collectors’ Society, a secret organization whose members confirm that famous stories are anything but straightforward and that what she knows about the world is only a fraction of the truth.
It’s there she discovers villains are afoot—ones who want to shelve the lives of countless beings. Assigned to work with the mysterious and alluring Finn, Alice and the rest of the Collectors’ Society race against a doomsday clock in order to prevent further destruction . . . but will they make it before all their endings are erased?

Julia | 69 comments Unlikely, but this is a retelling of Alice in Wonderland:
The Looking Glass Wars

Bridget (oobridgetoo) | 171 comments I'm thinking it could be Alice Takes Back Wonderland by David D. Hammons, based on the plot description? Not sure if it's NA though. It's just on my TBR, haven't read it.
