This game had everything. The Cats exploded from the blocks and left the Eagles shell-shocked. But then they gave away some silly free kicks which led to Eagles' goals and then the visitors seemed to recover. In the third quarter I thought the Cats were gone. I turned over to the cricket. Came back in the final quarter to see the Cats had somehow bounced back and were looking in total command again. So it's bye-bye to the reigning Premiers.

Duke - if you're about, time to tune into the final quarter now! Giants should have had this (very spiteful game) sewn up, but now under heaps of pressure.

The Lions led with 5 minutes to go but they just couldn't hold on. They would have been deserving winners. It wasn't a good game to watch, very scrappy and spiteful as I mentioned above. And the umpires got over-involved when they should have just got on with the game. Some bad decisions by the umps but whether they influenced the outcome I couldn't say. The Lions' Charlie Cameron was injured by his own team-mate (hyper-extension of his right arm - looked awful!) but came back on and virtually played one-handed all night. And congrats to the Brisbane fans who turned out in droves (first Final since 2005) and never gave up cheering their team throughout.

I think Geelong will play on Friday (7 days rest) and the Giants will play on Saturday (also 7 days rest) so as to be fair.
I'd like to think that my Giants could do it this year and make it to their very first grand final....but they haven't got Toby Greene or Coniglio this time around & they're facing a team that's had 2 weeks rest too. Should be a tight match non the less, me thinks. As fer the Cats v Tigers? No idea.....but I'll go with the favs...Tigers - 25
