Kylee Howells | 4 comments This is a chapter book for YA or older childrens readers and part of a series. I remember that there is a group of horses and they have a jewel in their forehead that allows them to communicate and perform magic. In the book I started on however it opens on a girl who has amnesia and she lives on a horse ranch. She feels a special bond with her horse but her horse is injured on the forehead. It is later revealed that the horse was once a magic horse (and still is) but her and the girl were in an accident that caused them to lose the jewel (and somebody has it I don't remember who) and now they can't communicate. They are bonded but can't remember anything because of the accident. Of course there is some evil and people trying to prevent her from regaining her memories. Does anybody remember this book/series?

Serena | 106 comments Do you recall a name of the girl? or the horse? Of the author? Was it fantasy? Science fiction? Like Tab said - how many years ago? And what about the cover?

Kylee Howells | 4 comments I don't remember the names, it was definitely fantasy and I read it about 10 years ago. It was a book geared more towards girls and was part of a series. The girl was living at a ranch with relatives who knew about the horse's secret. The rest of the herd lived in another world or something and they all have jewel's too. The color of the jewel corresponds to the horse's power.
