I've asked the same question in this thread- https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...- but never received a definitive answer.
Thanks for the link!My take: A radio drama (or comedy) is essentially the same as a television production (only not visual). It almost always has its own script that significantly varies from any source material.
There are many episodes of radio shows that have been released on CD/electronic file/cassette. I have been NABbing these based on my understanding that they are no more books than episodes of Cheers, Friends, I Love Lucy, and Law & Order.
Looking forward to a verdict/consensus!

Most everything on this page is just a straight up recording of radio broadcast- https://www.goodreads.com/author/show....To me, they should be NAB'd, but...?
Cassandra wrote: "Most everything on this page is just a straight up recording of radio broadcast- https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...."Thanks, Cassandra--I'll get to those soon (provided I don't hear I should do otherwise)!

Thanks, Maggie :) I did a few really obvious ones today, and a couple of DVDs that were in there, too.
That's swell, Cassandra! Have as many of them as you can stand to take! There are at least hundreds and maybe thousands!
DVDs I usually nab with a book they are based on if available. I didn't know that at first but another librarian told me this was standard.
Emily wrote: "DVDs I usually nab with a book they are based on if available. I didn't know that at first but another librarian told me this was standard."The ones I grabbed had no shelvings, so a merge target wasn't necessary. Thanks Emily.

Maggie wrote: "What is the benefit to merging with the work based on (if they're based on a work)? "I would think because the ratings and reviews would be retained with the work that can be searched.
Cassandra wrote: "The ones I grabbed had no shelvings, so a merge target wasn't necessary."I just think of things and post them for everyone's benefit :-D I figured you knew already
Elizabeth (Alaska) wrote: "I would think because the ratings and reviews would be retained with the work that can be searched."I think that too. If someone wants to un-shelve it then they have the option. This is what we do for "One-click buy" fake boxsets, we merge it with the collection if there is one, or the first book in the series, so the author doesn't lose ratings and the user doesn't lose the book completely. I know it isn't the same thing but that's how I think of it.

Consequently I just noticed this thread is still tied to a specific book. :-D Maybe we should make a new one for the future.

Thanks in advance!
