SOLVED. MG short story collection featuring a vampire bus driver [s]

In the 1990s I read a kids' short story collection -- I can't say with certainty whether they were by a single author or multiple authors. The story I remember and want to find was about a kid who misses his bus because he disobeys his parents (classic lesson there), I think by fooling around playing video games at a pizza place where he also eats a bunch of garlic pizza. He has to take a later bus. The driver is creepy, and the kid is uneasy with the fact that his stop is the last on the route, so eventually all the other passengers are let off and he's alone with the driver on the bus. And of course the driver is creepy because he's a VAMPIRE and he corners the kid at the back of the bus and is gonna chow down until the boy lets out a garlic-breath infused scream in his face. Vampire defeated! Boy goes home, presumably teaches kids not to disobey their parents -- or to eat garlic pizza.

I have -- separate, I think -- fond memories of the Jane Yolen-edited YA short story collection, Vampires, but I checked the TOC of that collection and none of those seem right -- plus, they mostly featured teens. But I no longer have that book, so I could be wrong. Does anyone recognize this story and know where it might have been published? Thanks!
