SOLVED. YA book about a shark attack, kids & dog shipwrecked on an island? /s

I remember reading a YA book in the 90s about a group of two kids and their uncle, father, or a mentor/friend gone sailing. Their boat gets attacked by a great white shark, I believe the man dies, and the kids and their dog wind up on an island and have to survive by themselves in a hut/house. The dog was a border collie, and the book author may have been Australian.

The cover I remember is of a blue map of the sea, with a great white shark in one corner. and I think the dog & the kids in the other corner.

They both have the same description; I'm wondering if one of them was the alternate title.
