Carey | 3 comments I read a book sometime around 1985 (I was 10). The main character came from a family without much money. I don’t recall much about it except that she went to sleep over at a friends and there were bed bugs (I had never heard of bed bugs). They turned on the lights in the dark and found bugs. When she got home her grandmother made her scrub herself.

I also recall that the main character had a turned up nose and she would describe how she would run it every night in hopes of changing the shape of it! Odd the things we remember. Anyway i’m looking for the title of this one if anyone has any ideas! Thank you

Carey | 3 comments Sorry! Autocorrect. How she would ‘rub’ it

You can "bump" your thread every month or so. This pushes your thread back to the top of the folder instead of languishing here on page 173 where fewer eyes will see it. Get back in the game! Bump!
You can do this by typing a new comment at the end of the thread, or even by typing the word "bump."
Good luck!

Rainbowheart | 28700 comments There was a bedbug incident in Magic for Marigold, but in that book, Marigold is rich and her friend is the one who's poor.

Nothing about noses that I can recall.

Rainbowheart | 28700 comments I think there's also a bedbug or lice incident in Mardie to the Rescue, but it's another in which the MC is rich and it's her friend who is poor.

Ally | 5 comments This also happened in With Love From Booky, the second book in Bernice Thurman Hunter’s Booky series. Did they chase the bedbugs with a cake of wet soap? That’s the part I remember.

Booky's cousin Zelda also told her to rub the end of her nose to make it smaller.
