Elspeth Hall (elspeth_grace) | 141 comments I've done this in the past but it seams either I have lost the privilege or Goodreads has changed the mechanism.

How do you add a book to Goodreads if it doesn't have an ISBN number?

I'm currently reading a number of books that are too old to have ISBN numbers and I would like to add them but I cant find how.

One which I think might be of interest to this group in particular is Erasmus book of eticate for children. A children's book written in the 17th century (rare in that sence as most books back then are written for adults) I've checked and there are copies in various libraries in America, UK and Australia so it seems a shame not to be able to leave a review.

There is a book on GoodReads already that is a manners book for children by Erasmus:
A Handbook on Good Manners for Children: De Civilitate Morum Puerilium Libellus with several editions listed. Is your book just another edition of this book?
According to Penguin Book publishers, it was first published in 1530. Their reprint in 2011 has this ISBN #: 9781409052104.

Also, when I add a book I almost never have an ISBN. I just go to the author's book page and use the link at the bottom of the list:

"* Note: these are all the books on Goodreads for this author. To add more books, click here."

Elspeth Hall (elspeth_grace) | 141 comments Thanks guys. Yes mine is an early English edition. I definitely wouldn't have managed the 1530 edition - Latin is not my strong suit.
