SOLVED. A book set in modern times and (maybe) WW II; a romance, of sorts, with the modern day person reading letters written between two war time lovers. [s]

So I’ve got a book in mind that I read last year, and I know I didn’t finish it. It starts when a woman who is struggling at work ends up in an old, abandoned house. She finds a pile of letters in the house, and she starts reading them. It turns out the letter are love letters from the previous occupants (I think?) war time boyfriend. I imagine the book had parallel storylines, but I can’t remember if that’s right. I think it came out in the last few years, but I can’t remember anything about the cover, the author, or the title.

Glad to help. I haven't read it yet, but I'm a sucker for (A) dual story lines (B) epistolary novels (or just novels with letters as part of the plot) and (C) WWII novels, so this was on my radar.
