I'm very receptive to comments/reviews... it's why I try to avoid them for the most part... if someone points out an annoying writer quirk in a book review, it can distract me while reading... so while I'm already commenting about repetitiveness, it's not an issue (yet)... just something I have my eye on... I think repetition is almost expected when spanning 7000 pages, right?...

In contrast to all my talk about Taylor, the arc of Glory Girl and Panacea has been quite the opposite... (view spoiler)

Yeah, the estimates were pretty good. It would have been even more accurate with just one narrator; the interludes at a slightly different reading speed are the biggest factor in the deviation, I think.

For sure... my estimates were based on audiobook length... then I made rough changes to account for over/under pagecounts, and the fact we found a 7000 page edition that added 320 more pages to the count...
I think I've had to slow down the listening speed for 2-3 Interludes and most of Arc 14 or 15, when they had the girl with an occasional accent reading... the one that ended with SamSamSam repetition for some reason...

Would be confusing as hell if not, on top of a change of narrator :p

Urgh, I hate when there's pronounced accents in an audiobook, even if it's for immersion/the character is supposed to have one.
As a non-native English speaker, I usually have to slow down drastically to understand or switch to a print version altogether... Takes me out of the story, and I always have a hard time to get back into it.

No it doesn't... that's where the wiki helps...

You probably wouldn't like the Firebird trilogy then... the narration switches accents for the main characters every couple chapters... the story has to do with multiple dimensions, and the MCs keep jumping into their counterparts in other dimensions who grew up in Russia/London/France/Asia/etc...

Agreed! I hate those accents as well!
Only took 17 Arcs for Wildbow to consider the ramifications of a multiverse a bit more... the backstory of the Travelers is interesting, too...
Arc 18-19: I'd call this the end of the 3rd Arc... it's really the 2nd big fight sequence since S9, but the 2nd sequence was triggered by the end of the 1st sequence...
Arc 20 & Interludes of 19: (view spoiler)
Arc 20 & Interludes of 19: (view spoiler)
I figure I'll be done by Saturday/Sunday... even if I only listen when I get off work, shouldn't take too long to finish... I'll make it through Arc 21 today, I think, then hopefully read ~650 pages per day after work... there are 2500 pages in Arcs 22-31...
Arc 22: This has been getting crazy... (I'm also making a bit more progress than I expected)...
I've actually been liking the story more and more, as things come together and slowly build to the conclusion...
So many events feel like things I'd see in a TV show... (I can't count how many Teen shows I've watched where some big thing happens at the school near the end of the first season... Stranger Things, Teen Wolf, etc)...

😂 For a moment I was a bit confused

Yea... too many tabs open... I'll fix now... with enough tabs open, the visible headers start to look the same...

You want a REAL spoiler?... I just realized from my wiki digging who the MC of WARD is... (view spoiler)[it's (ex-)Glory Girl, Victoria Dallon... (hide spoiler)]
That's more something for Anni to read, obviously... I knew Taylor wasn't the MC of Ward, but I didn't realize the new MC was someone we know, before...
