Does anyone else think this was overhyped and cliched?

Actually I kinda liked it. It was not scary, but it had a tense undercurrent. I enjoyed it for the story it was.

I actually really enjoyed this book!

I wouldn't call it bad by any means. I have read most of the author's haunting themed books and her characters usually annoy me, this was definitely no exception. The ghosts and the backstory of the house was interesting, the haunting was mildly creepy, the main character was an idiot. I think it is a decent read for fans of ghosts with a historical bent.

I tried giving this one a shot and The Carrow Haunt too, disliked them both... I felt the paranormal elements on both were kinda corny and cliche and on both I was extremely apathetic for the protagonists and whatever was to happen to them.

@Rosairi I'm glad you felt the same...

It wasn't one of my favorites from the same author. felt rushed to be put together.
