I'm really hoping someone can help me with the name of a book I read 10ish years ago.
All I remember from it is that it's about a boy, who is lured from his house by a man who can fly, he follows the man and is brought to a house where magical things happen.
There is a girl there, and I'm sure she turns into some sort of fish creature near the end of the book.
I can remember there being a face in the attic too, I think it was the last owner who died but stayed as the house? I'm not too sure.
I remember the boy being allowed to ring home too, to tell his mum where he is, and she seems okay with it, but it wasn't really her.
I bought it from a charity shop years ago, it was hardback and didn't have the sleeve cover, but the case was a green fabric.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
James.
