SOLVED. Short story about a kind young witch with a mark on her face. [s]

A short story written during or before the 1990's. I read it in the late 90's. I believe it was in a book with other short stories. It seemed geared towards teens/preteens? It is about a young witch girl (or girl with magical powers). She uses them to hide a birthmark on her face and I think she also helps people. She falls in love and then shows her love her true face. He doesn't react well and this causes her to make a pretty big life change.....
