Too early to say much about the plot or the characters. But seems like a promising read so far.

Five chapters in and we already have such a LARGE cast of characters. Like there are SO MANY of them!!
Same goes with the number of dead people and messed up families we have been introduced to. Is there not even a single normal happy family in this town?!

And the town, it seems to be one of those where everyone knows everyone.. like it seems as if each person is connected to every other person some way or the other.

There are so many unsolved things here, and I am assuming they will somehow all connect and come together to something common by the end..? That's how it is with most of the mysteries anyway.

I am enjoying the story, however not a huge fan of following those long time ago mysteries, alongside the events that are happening now. I want to focus on what's going on now. All those past mysteries and this new one connecting together would be too unrealistic.
It's crazy how all these people still haven't gotten over what happened 23 years ago to Sarah..and also about Lacey's murder, and how every one (even the people at school who weren't even born then) seem to know about everything. Like, they are so involved in each other's lives!
I can picture a sad darkness looming over this town all the time.

Can't say anything about Vance or McNulty so far. We haven't got much of them yet.
Those acts of vandalism seem quite dramatic though.
Pretty slow start I would say. Hope it picks up some pace soon. (hide spoiler)]

Wow. Things have really sped up. It's getting interesting now!
I agree about Malcolm and Declan being too obvious to be culprits. It's usually someone people would least expect.
I am also thinking that maybe it's an adult and not one of our teens... As they weren't even born when the other first event happened and were probably not old enough when the second one happened to do something like a murder. I think one of the adults being a culprit would make much more sense while connecting everything from the past?

Anyway, I am trying not to come up with many theories and just go with the flow. (hide spoiler)]

Yeah. I am also liking the dynamic between Ellery and Mal, though we haven't got much of it.
I was so shocked to find out Ryan's relation to twins. I read that part almost thrice to fully soak in what was happening.
Honestly, I will be super disappointed if the murderer turned out to be Liz or Kyle. We barely knew them. It's always such a bummer when the culprit turns out to be someone who wasn't fleshed out enough during the story. (hide spoiler)]

The build up was so good. But I too wished it wasn't Peter. He was barely explored during the story.
I liked that last twist way too much though.

Wondering if he knew who did it and they wanted him to keep quiet. Also, since they never found Sarah and her disappearance was much earlier than the other two deaths, I'm wondering how all three are connected.
