My first thought is about all the books that I've previously looked for on Project Gutenberg, and not found. Now (or soon) they will be there, but I saved no record of them, so I don't know what to check for again. I had no idea that this was going to happen.
And I still don't really understand it, so can't comment on copyright etc.
I knew there was a change, but I didn’t realize this was the year that it up again. It looks like there are works by Edith Wharton, Agatha Christie and Robert Frost. I think the part that makes me anticipate it is that we’re back to a yearly cycle of new works that come readily available. Like you, I have searched for books expecting to find them in the public domain.
