I read the book around 2006 but am not sure when it was published. The book is about a young girl who lives on a farm with her mom and dad and her mom home schools her. The mom gets sick with cancer and is unable to take care of her and she has to go to normal school. To pay for the medical bills the dad starts to sell off the farmland. She doesn't want the land sold so she makes up fake posters about tornadoes, snakes and other dangers. This makes the children of the people buying the land happy and think it's a fun game. This is all I can remember of the book I hope someone else knows it.
