Read this in early to mid 2010s. No later than 2015.
I can’t remember this very well but the premise’s maybe that something happens to a girl’s phone while she’s in the middle of a forest. Later, her brain has eventually done something like absorbing the phone. She can sort of access a search engine and a GPS in her brain now, and maybe some other stuff.
-There was something about the phone not being an ordinary phone, but connected to the military maybe because of her dad.
-The girl’s name may have been short for something, and it might have been Sam or Samantha.
- She was thirteen-ish (maybe in eighth grade) and played soccer.
- It was specifically mentioned that her grandmother was Italian, making her a fourth Italian.
