Sassy | 8 comments It's a historical romance novel. The h's father dies and his estates ends up going to a lord (the H) because the h does not have any brothers. The h and her sister and mother are sitting around after the funeral wondering what will happen. They have decided that the H will be old and ugly, and because they want to stay at their house, one of the sisters has to marry him. The h, whos the younger sister decides it has to be her because the older sister is too pretty and I think she's engaged to another. So they write a letter to H and propose that the h marry the H. The H comes over and the older sister decides that she prefers the H and the h feels guilty about marrying the H. There are numerous instances where the h tries to pitch the H and the sister together. But the H falls for the h anyways.

Sassy, around what year did you read this book? This will help narrow down the search.

Can you tell us more about the sisters and hero - their interests/hobbies, skills/talents, personalities, etc.?

Sassy | 8 comments I think I read this book around 2008 don't really remember.
I don't remember much, but I think there was a part where the two sisters and H walk to a cliff, the h is sad that she will have to leave the H so that her sister can have him.

Sassy | 8 comments No its not Georgette Heyer. I have read The Convenient Marriage and its not the book I'm looking for.

Sassy ~~
You can "bump" your thread every month or so. This pushes your thread back to the top of the folder instead of languishing here on page 143 where fewer eyes will see it. Get back in the game! Bump!
You can do this by typing a new comment at the end of the thread, or even by typing the word "bump."
Good luck!
