Read-a-Thon #4 - Team 4 Group Discussion
Silvia, those are my guesses for 2-6 as well (I had no idea about #1). I also think you nailed the connection between all of them.

Well done, Sylvia. I only knew 3 of them but was thinking the same for connection based on the ones I have read or plan to.

I finished listening to The Witch With No Name (1.5 hours)
I also read 92 pages of Surrender to the Devil

Spreadsheet has been updated up to this point!
We need three more children's books to clear off that prompt. I don't have kids, so those of you with children's books laying around, if you read them, let me know! Also, we are only about halfway to the first audiobook goal, so if you're listening, make sure you are tracking your time!

You've guessed all the covers so I have revealed the text for all of them :)
I can work on second boards tonight. Although some tasks are cumulative (page counts/hours) you will be able to proceed to some of the individual prompts (title, cover, etc.)

Yay! I'm glad to get a second board, since we are only halfway done with the Read-A-Thon.

Yay! I'm glad to get a second board, since we are only halfway done with the Read-A-Thon.

I'm not sure how many pages since it was an ebook but maybe we could just count it towards one of the childrens books.

Emily I enjoyed it but it wasn't really what I expected but still a fun read.
Whoops! Sorry about that Marina. I've updated your book count, and I put the fairy tale towards the children's book count.
Samantha, I've updated your page and book count. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Liane Moriarty is so good at surprising me, so I'm sure I'll enjoy the read too.

Will report pages later.

I also read the first 103 pages of The Night Circus that can be included in my page count.
Updated! I hope you enjoy The Night Circus! I totally wanted to live in that circus by the end of the book.
The second board has been posted. The tasks are cumulative so all totals are for the entirety of the read-a-thon. I did break the "game" task in two so that you could uncover #17.
Yay! The spreadsheet has been updated to reflect the new prompts.
For books you are reading, make sure you look at the new prompts and let me know if what you're reading fits the prompts!

I think the some of the colors on this cover are considered metallic, right?

It would also work for #29. Reject - A book recommended by a podcast or blog
And it counts for the ATY prompt literary fiction.
Yes, I think those are close enough to metallic and may even be actual metallic on the actual physical book cover.

I will finish this book tomorrow and it is for ATY challenge

Pages read: 177
Short Story read in one sitting: "Not If I Know It" from Christmas at Thompson Hall and Other Christmas Stories
Currently Reading:
Bury Your Dead

Works for:
- "wintery" cover
- fits a reject prompt: A book by an author who is from a country different than your own

Just finished The Girl in the Tower and for the last two days read 280 pages to finish it.
It can be used for; published in December, wintery cover, beautiful cover.
On to reading: In an Absent Dream

- Bryd Tavsheden: wintery cover
- Sværd af glas: beautiful cover.
I don't know it it's only the author's first name that can start with J, A or N. If the last name counts as well then Aveyard could work.
And both books might fit a reject prompt, I just haven't checked

I read Where the Wild Things Are and The Tale of Peter Rabbit with my children's literature students. Both are picture books.
Rachel, I've pencilled in Speak No Evil for those prompts.
Debra, you've maxed out on audio, so you can report those hours listened as pages now!
Marina, I think it's first or last name that can start with J, A, or N. I'll put it down for that prompt.
The spreadsheet is updated with everyone's totals. We've met our next page goal!
Laura, you can open up #9, #13, #32, and #45!
Don't forget to let me know when you finish the book if it fits for the ATY challenge (it can fit any 2018 prompt, even if you have already completed the challenge).

Yes thank you for all the work you are putting in for the team!

Also completed a graphic Novel
Game On Boys! The Play Station Play-offs: A Hilarious adventure for children 9-12 with illustrations

Laura, you can open up #9, #13, #32, #40, and #45!

Now I'm off to bed and tomorrow will be all about reading!

I read this for the ATY challenge A book that scares or intimidates you

Laura, you can open up #9, #13, #32, #40, and #45!"
It can fit Authors debut novel or first in a series I believe otherwise just count it for pages read

Works for:
- a book with N-E-W in the title
- a reject prompt: A book with 2 people on the cover
