Read-a-Thon #4 - Team 3 Group Discussion
The second board has been posted. The tasks are cumulative so all totals are for the entirety of the read-a-thon. I did break the "game" task in two so that you could uncover #17.

Yay! Thank-you! I thought we’d have to finish every task on the first one before the second would become active!!
I considered that but this gives teams a chance to apply some books to cover/title prompts that are already filled on the first board. The page count/hours tasks tend to take longer.

I am going to take a look at the prompts to see what to read next!

Everyone is doing awesome!

I finished Peep Show by Joshua Braff (Author with a name that starts with J). 56 pages
I read My Name is Lucy Barton (published in January OR read in one sitting). 191 Pages
Total pages: 425

I finished Bobla which can count for #26, wintery cover as it has snow on all the rooftops. 284 pages.
I haven’t read any of the books for our first board, so that makes it hard guessing the connection.

Good morning! Started my day with coffee, and finished Mad About the Boy.
Started listening to Pax.
-Finishing Mad About The Boy fulfills a prompt for my ATY challenge,
-My morning listen adds 2 more hours of listening to an audiobook.
I haven't read ANY of the books on the first board, so I can't comment on Hilde's guess.

50 pages of Einstein's Theories of Relativity and Gravitation
1 hr 16 min of Anansi Boys

Also, we can uncover squares 26, 32, 35, 36, and 47 on the new board!

Total Pages 1887 (I did not count the two audio books toward that total for our group page count. Those 2 books went to the audio hours).
Hope this helps!
Oh! No ATY books. I finished mine a few months ago.

I have stated that 2 were for the ATY challenge, but I did manage to put all 3 in it, so if you need 3, now that there is a second board, use all 3.
I do not know my page count off the top of my head. Let me know if you need me to get that, and I will!
Thanks Chrissy!

Perhaps a specific award ;)
Perhaps a specific award ;)

- Read 84 more pages and finished The Pearl. This can count as an ATY challenge book.
- Listened to 30 mins of audiobook (Harry Potter: A History of Magic)
Total page count: 1154

Total number of book read: 3
All 3 are for my ATY challenge

I listened to two more hours of audio since my last update.
Total number of books read is 2 (not including the picture books). I haven’t stated any of them as AtY reads, but both fit. One I managed to actually use in my challenge and the other fits the first perspective prompt.
Great work everyone :)
I went to a really fun party yesterday, and my head is paying the price today.. probably won’t get much reading done today ☺️
As a general update, all books in board 1 have been guessed correctly, along with the connection (All winners of the Walter Scott Prize for historical fiction)
There have been correct guesses for board 2 but I will hold off for a little while on revealing titles and authors just in case some members want to continue guessing.

I read another 50 pages of Einstein's Theories of Relativity and Gravitation
I also listened to another 1 hr and 14 min of Anansi Boys

finished Out of Africa
total books read: 4
books for ATY challenge: 4
This can also count for the read-a-thon prompt 44. A Non-Fiction Book
I have started Reading Murder at the Vicarage. It is the first of Christie's Miss Marple books, so when I finish we can count it for
42. Read a book that is first in a series

I will search my books for the graphic novel task.

I read the first short story from the collection Vinternoveller/(Winter Stories). Beautiful story that can check off square #45; finish a story in one sitting. The story was called ‘Vi kan ikke hjelpe alle’, losely translated it would be ‘We can not help them all’. 29 pages.
I see that this collection is planned to be released in English in February 2019, and for those of you that like short stories I can really recommend her collections, they are excellent. Hopefully this means that they will also translate more of her works in the future.

It can work towards one of the books needed for the children’s books. Books completed are now 3.
Edit: it could potentially work for task #28 metallic on the cover instead of the children book task. What do you think?

Our board is missing this one!
39. Listen to 75 hours of audiobook (max 13 hours per team member
Is the board missing it or is the spreadsheet? I don't see it on the spreadsheet but is it completed?

Thanks, Laura :)
I have a guess for the bottom book in the left corner:
(view spoiler)

Oops! It is missing from the spreadsheet. We have not completed it. I do know that I have more than maxed out my 13 hours of listening though.
