I'm having the same problem on the desktop site Charlie. You can update on the app by going to your 'currently reading' books, click onto which one you want to update, and then from the book page there'll be an option to update progress.

Pretty much the only time the app has been useful, but at least it's an option!

I actually uninstalled the app last year and I always just use the website but now I might have to install it :(

If you just click on the book you're reading on the desktop site and scroll down to just above your friend's reviews, you can update your progress there.

I almost couldn’t hold it. Really wanted to start the book during the holidays. First minutes of the new year after the fireworks had died down a little bit, opened up my kindle and started reading, so I didn’t break the rules lol.

Hi team! I hope you've all had pleasant holidays. Belated greetings to everyone! Mel here.

I live in Sendai, Japan as an English teacher. I read a mix of fantasy, sci-fi, historical fiction, ya, classics, and non-fiction. I also have been trying to read more diverse books. As for what I don't read... I'm not a fan of grimdark, and have a low tolerance for sexual violence. In general I prefer my fantasy on the light side, but appreciate poignant tragedy and sacrifice.

Fair warning: I'm also a mood reader, so I find it hard to plan for buddy reads in advance. I'll bookmark a few, but generally decide the week of whether I'll join in. Perhaps we mood readers can band together and make some spontaneous suggestions. :)
