So exciting!

ally ¯\(ツ)/¯ (allykennedy) | 1002 comments I swear.... this coming year... I will read again!
Stephen King & a fantasy book should set me up for a good start.

Side note: Has SK ever lost when nominated on Goodreads? I think if he published his grocery list, it might win best horror novel....

Yes, He didn't win the Best of the Best this year and Full Dark, No Stars lost in the mystery/thriller category to The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest in 2010. Could be others, I didn't check every category for every year.

Deborah | 103 comments Stephen King does win a lot. My husband was complaining that he couldn't find Ready Player One in best of the best, so I looked it up for him and had to tell him, sorry it came in second to a Stephen King book that year. He understood, but still argued that Stephen King shouldn't be in the Science Fiction category. I just shrugged and said, well it had time travel.

Actually, I like that they put SK in sci-fi or mystery/thriller sometimes. I think his work often gets labeled as horror even when it isn't.

He also had his other book, Flight or Fright, nominated this year, but lost to himself in horror. lol

I imagine losing to yourself is easier to accept. :P

I would think so! lol I was a bit disappointed that he had multiple entries in the category. I see that every so often with different authors (Rick Riordan comes to mind) and I always feel like they should have chosen one book to include.

Hi Vicki! I have (sadly) not been reading. Hopefully that changes.

I feel better about this years GRCA winners than last year. There are 7 actual winners I want to read, and quite a few nominees =)
