Amy wrote: "I second Tom Sawyer + or Huckleberry Finn"Hi, Amy!
We don't offer an alternative, as in "or", OK? :-)
So, if you want to really put Hucleberry Finn on the discussion table, please nominate it explicitly.
Otherwise we may be in doubt wether this was or not a nomination.
However - and this is ONLY a suggestion - when someone suggests a second book by the same author of another one previously nominated, it is likely that voters that like the author will split. It might be a good strategy not to make that possible. But there is no restraint AT ALL to doing so, if anyone really wishes to! :-)
I second The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, The Master and Margarita, The Beautiful and Damned, The Age of Innocence and The Brothers Karamazov
I second:
The Master & Margarita
Zorba The Greek
A Tree Grows In Brooklyn.
Thanks.
The Master & Margarita
Zorba The Greek
A Tree Grows In Brooklyn.
Thanks.
I'd like to second:The Fellowship of the Ring
The Beautiful and the Damned
Pride and Prejudice
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
I would like to second wildfell hall and runaway horses. These two works are quite unfamiliar to me, and have interesting descriptions.
I second everything: The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, Slaughterhouse-Five, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Age of Innocence, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Great Gatsby, The Master and Margarita, Zorba the Greek, The Beautiful and Damned, Pride and Prejudice, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, South American Jungle Tales, The Brothers Karamazov, Gone with the Wind, Animal Farm, The Three Musketeers (did anyone know Alexander Dumas was biracial? His dad was the son of a slave and a French aristocrat, whose adventures were the basis for a lot of the fictional adventures in Dumas' work), and Runaway Horses
