Hi I’m from Kane’ohe, Hawai’i. I grew up and developed a passion for reading; the only person in the family who is obsessed with books… my goal is 150 and complete 3 challenges…
Hi. This is Surya, from India. Used to read Harry Potter when I was young, but then my reading became somewhat sporadic. I am trying to get back. Joined goodreads and immediately found this group. I've set my target to 25 books this year. Excited.

Hi. I'm from Alabama. I read just about anything -- including the back of the cereal box. Mysteries are my favorites. I've set my goal for 100 books this year -- and not just mysteries.
Hi friends, My name is Marguerite. I had been an avid reader all my life, the kind of kid that had a book propped up in front of my cereal bowl before school. About 6-7 years ago that changed when my husband got sick and finally died. Stress and grief made it impossible to concentrate . I filled the space with ipad grazing and magazine flipping and cookbook browsing - but of course, none of that comes close to a good book! But 2019 is going to be different, Already this month, I've been able to start - and finish! - three books! This is BIG!
My challenge goal is to read 31 books with a mix of some of the books that been sitting too long on my shelves & some of the new "readers' choice" winners. I will do my best to keep up with this group and support you all in your challenges!
Good luck to all!

Hello everyone, I am Eanie from Nepal. Reading books has always been my favorite thing since childhood. However, I haven’t read much in the past few years due to hectic schedules. Nevertheless, from now on I promise to make some time for reading. I have no such reading goals as per now. As a kid, I used to love the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and other classic literature. Recently I’m more into motivational and self-help books. The Alchemist is my favorite book which I have read a couple of times.

Hello everyone,My name is Chuck and a longtime goodreads.com follower.
Married for almost 48 years now (where has time gone?) and love every second of it.
Retired for a number of years now, and wow, retirement is great! Lots of interests besides reading. Enjoy traveling in our trailer, visiting countries overseas and of course spending time with our grandchildren. We have 4 grandkids ages 25, 23, almost 4 and the youngest is just 15 months old.
Lots of volunteering in my life right now. Volunteer at 2 after school homework clubs, currently in training program to be a tutor at a youth correctional facility and volunteer at our library as a book sorter sorting through book donations.

Hi everyone! My name is Beth and I am from Georgia! I like to read all kinds of stuff but I am more into world building, fantasy, sci-fi, romance, and the likes thereof. I found this group by looking for groups that are relevant to me. My reading goal is small, but I just graduated college so I am just now getting back into leisure reading (academic reading is just not the same and it takes a while to detox from it). My goal is 30 books this year. If I can read more I can up my goal for next year. Suggestions are welcome :)
Hi everyone, I'm Monica. I love reading but don't write a lot of book reviews or post much. I'm more of a lurker 😉 I mostly read fantasy and historical fiction and I average 1-2 books a week. Happy reading everyone!

I'm quitting my full time job and starting university in April, so hopefully I'll be able to read A LOT this year.I'm not trying to read a certain amount of books but 20,000 pages, so that I'll pick up more big books. I think that'll amount to a total of around 40 books.

Hi, my name is Maryna (30) and I am from Belarus/Canada. I used to read a lot and I’ve the last few years I’ve noticed that I no longer make reading a priority. This year one of my goals is to spend less time watching Netflix, reduce my time on social media and focus on reading instead. So far I’ve reaped many benefits by redirecting my focus. There are many benefits in being multi-lingual and having multiple backgrounds, however, there are still many gaps in my knowledge, specifically in classical literature (both English and Russian). I feel like being well-read is very important, therefore I will be working on bridging said gaps.
My favourite genres are dystopian and apocalyptic science-fiction, as well as dark fantasy. I thoroughly enjoy books on biology, sciences and the environmental movement.
My goal this year is to read 50 books, I am currently on my 8th. I am hoping to overshoot my goal this year. I’m super excited to be a part of this group!
Hi everyone! My name is Nyamat and I'm from India. The genres I enjoy the most are Fantasy, YA and Non-fiction.
I recently started following a channel called BooksOnToast on YouTube and found out this group through one of their videos.
I really hope to read at least 15 books this year. I hope I read much more than 15 books actually, but I could only read 12 last year so 15 seemed like a safe target. :)
