Whodunnit?

I’ve just finished this book and enjoyed it. It is the first one of the author’s that I read. However, I’m almost embarrassed to say that I don’t understand who the murderer was! I know who attacked the Cliftons in their hotel, and who the English nurse is, but am confused about the rest of it. Did I miss something?! I was waiting for the big reveal at the end but it didn’t come. Can anybody enlighten me?

You're not the only one. I was disappointed with the lack of actual detective work in this story. A lot of it seems to be guesswork or hunches or luck and coincidence. When the villain was finally revealed (after Maisie playing her cards very close to her chest, even to the reader) I barely remembered who he was.
