What did you think of Silence and Mickey’s story? Have a favorite so far? Lots of Darkness is among my favorites by Hoyt.

Artemis is one of my favorite Heroines out there. I love her quiet strength.

Meredith | 13 comments I just went on vacation and read a lot! Plus I am summarizing below as well.
Counting Devil's Daughter by Lisa Kleypas as finishing that series (but I still think I may reread them anyway), I am at five so far.
I finished the Simply Quartet by Mary Balogh. I enjoyed glimpsing the Bedwyns again and enjoyed the last book the most.
I am 3 books in to the Westcott series by Mary Balogh. I like how she set up the story in the first book and is playing out the different aspects of it in the next ones. Something I enjoy about series!
I have read two of three books in A Season for Scandal series by Kelly Bowen.

Sounds like a nice way to send your vacation! I've read a few of those you mention too. I read (and loved) Devil's Daughter too but I hadn't thought of counting it as another series finished LOL. Nice work. Did you see that Lisa Kleypas has released a blurb for Chasing Cassandra? Sequel to Devil's Daughter, but not due till 2020.

Jan (jan130) | 2676 comments I've finished another in the Spymasters series, The Black Hawk by Joanna Bourne. 3.5 stars. Only one book to go in that series now. Yay!

You are racing through these books, Shaz! Glad you're enjoying the series. I did a similar thing when I discovered the series a couple of years ago. My favs of the series were Duke of Sin (although I had some reservations about the H!) and Duke of Pleasure and my least favs were Scandalous Desires and Sweetest Scoundrel. My average rating was 3.5, I guess, (but I am a 'hard marker'!), but I did read them all. An enjoyable series to get lost in.

🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1222 comments Just finished Darling Beast, Good read,
Fav up to now is Duke of Midnight. On Page 70 of Dearest Rogue, Book 8. I had 4 books on my bookshelf , Went to the library for the rest.

. Better reading all these books, than listening about BREXIT LOL

Glad you enjoyed them Jan, looking forward to Duke of Sin now.

I always like it when I enjoy a series well enough to read the books back to back. That is my preferred method, but there are some series that I have to take breaks between books before continuing.

Glad you are enjoying Maiden Lane series so well!

Jan (jan130) | 2676 comments That's true, Mariana. Sometimes I devour a series back-to-back, but for some series I need to take a break between books, too. At the moment I'm taking a little break before I tackle the final in the Spymasters series.

The Spymasters series took me two years to finish. They are so unique but the writing style started to feel reduntant. After the first half, I had to take a long break between each of the last books.

Yeah, similar for me. I read the first one way back in Dec 2017, and I've still got one to go. I like them but they're intense and yeah, a bit too similar in some ways to just read back-to-back.

Jan (jan130) | 2676 comments Just finished another one in the Bridgertons series - To Sir Phillip, With Love. Not my fav of the series - 2.5 stars.

I've now read 7 out of the 21 books I'm aiming to read for this challenge. Going OK so far. Much better than last year :)

To Sir Phillip, With Love (Bridgertons, #5) by Julia Quinn

🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1222 comments Well done Jan.
I loved the Bridgerton series.

I am on Book 10 now. Duke of Sin. He not a very nice Duke. Bridget got some work to do to make Val a nice Duke.

He was never a nice duke for me.

Jan (jan130) | 2676 comments Yeah he is kinda sexy but also amoral. His past was a little too black for me. I would like to reread sometime and see what I think second time around. Also, a minor peeve, but I hated the h's name. Bridget CRUMB???? Really? Is that the best Ms Hoyt could come up with?????? Val I'm-too-sexy-for-my-clothes falls for Mrs Crumb? Riigghhhtttt.

Ha, ha, didn't remember that.

🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1222 comments I also thought CRUMB was not a very good name HA HA.
Reading Duke of Pleasure at the moment. Young Alf story.
See Bridget and Val went abroad.

???? I can't remember that. It doesn't sound very appealing! LOL. Bad boy Val may be, but I always felt he could have done better than Ms Crumb, and not just because of her name LOL. They were a couple that didn't quite have that perfect chemistry we love to read about IMO.
