i'm trying to remember the name of a book about a kid who has one eye and can see the future sometimes and goes through a subway to a different world.

I think that i read it two or three years ago. He came to have one eye after a dragon took it i believe but at the beginning of the book he only had one eye. I think that it would be childrens. I believe that there are three books and at the end of the first book he gets his eye back from the dragon. In the third book at the beginning ge turns into a dragon in a grocery store.
