Could I get Rules For A Proper Governess verified that "childrens" or "kids" are not part of the main page genres? Just in case people start that odd shelving thing because two children are major characters - it's a historical romance. ;)

Looks like you were posting this question just as I was answering your previous question. The book you asked about previously, Secretariat, is noted as history. However, the link you provided in this post goes to a Harry Potter book.

I have a question about verifying a book for genre if the relevant one is not listed on the main page on Goodreads. Specifically, I'm looking at a book called Song from the Forest: My Life Among the Ba-Benjelle Pygmies by Louis Sarno for a task that requires non-fiction. It isn't specifically shelved as non-fiction on the main page, but it's been shelved by very few people. Is there a way to verify this for non-fiction?

A book does not have to have "non-fiction" listed as a genre in order to work for a task requiring nonfiction. Normally, it's pretty easy to tell from the description whether a book is fiction or non-fiction.

You can always ask in the relevant help thread whether the book works for the task.

The best way to add a book link is to click the add book/author button immediately above the comment box where you are writing your comment. Search for the book, expand to other editions as needed, then click ADD to use the link ... it will appear like this: Secretariat
