SOLVED. Fantasy book series about girls being taken to another planet to help save it. [s]

I started reading these books in high school and I never finished the series because they were still being written (I believe this was around 2010-2012). I'd say the general time range of the book series being published was around 2008-2014.

These books were about these girls who got abducted to a different planet and they were supposed to help save the planet from some danger. There was a ritual that the people of this planet would perform to summon the girls to the planet. Each book was centered around a different girl and they each had their own special ability that they got from being on the new planet. I believe the power related to what they were good at on earth.

Minor Spoilers Ahead

The first book was centered around a girl who I think was just really good at fighting and military planning and such. She had a hard time on this planet cause she was the only person from Earth there and didn’t understand their language and they didn't understand English. But she was eventually able to understand them by doing this bonding ceremony with someone that made them kinda like soulmates or something (I don’t really remember the details of it).

I don’t remember the second book as well but I think that the girl ended up being a healer for them.

The third book was about a girl who was I think a jockey on earth and then she ended up being like a horse whisper on the new planet.

A weird fact I remember about this world was that the planet didn’t have potatoes and the girls really wanted French fries so they started making them out of turnips. I also remember that there were people on this planet that were like biologically predisposed to hating the humans on sight while others would fall in love with them and become obsessed with them.

I wanna say that these were young adult books but there was also some fairly explicit sexual content in the books and I’m not sure where young adult books draw the line on that.
