Yes, stay safe. And wear a mask. Wildfire smoke isn’t like regular woodsmoke, it has dangerous stuff in it. Better to risk looking uncool than your health.
I actually live in Paradise where the fires happened. Still don’t know if my home is standing or not. Soooo, I’ve stopped reading altogether and am bingeing on Doctor Who and Torchwood. It’s just my way of dealing with reality.

You are stronger than you think.
I don't know much about Fire situations, but as the survivor of three hurricanes (Rita, Ike and Harvey) and multiple floods in Houston, I can feel your painI hope everything works out
All of our group members impacted by the fires are in my thoughts. I hope it's over soon, and that you all recover quickly. Be safe and try to hold up as best you can! Patricia, my "numb it out" tv is Psych, Leverage, and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. I feel that.
The particulates in smoke tend to cause rain; part of the cycle.I sure hope the rain comes but that it is a light, steady drizzle over a couple days. The last thing everyone needs is mudslides as a result of the anchoring vegetation having been burned away.
Weirdly enough, the jetstream has lifted the smoke over the vast majority of the country and sent it directly to us in New England, where it caused massive downpours today.
