If you are willing to place one of your December reading choices in the hands of another person, leave a comment here with at least five books and no more than ten from your TBR shelf. Participants need to leave comments no later than November 20th.

Here's how it will work:
Sophia will match people up and leave a comment with a list of who will choose for whom.
When you see the person you are to pick for, then just look at their list in the above comments and leave a new comment with their name and the book you chose for them by November 30th.

You also need to watch and see what book your person chose from your list for you.
You have the rest of the month to read the book.

So if this sounds like something you would like to do, just comment below leaving your name and list of book choices for someone to pick your December book.

3. Passages: A Pemberley Tale by Brenda Webb
4. A Contrary Wind: a variation on Mansfield Park by Lona Manning
5. When They Fall in Love: Darcy and Elizabeth in Italy by Mary Lydon Simonsen
6. Mr Bennet's Dutiful Daughter by Joana Starnes
7. Mistress: A Pride and Prejudice Variation, with Parts Not Suitable for Those Who Have Not Reached Their Majority by Sophie Turner
8. Courage Rises: A Pride and Prejudice Continuation by Melanie Rachel

Sophie,

I would like to try this again. When I participated the last time, I actually read more books:

1. Ms. Darcy's Beaux by Eliza Shearer
2. The Unreformed Mr. Darcy by Lin Mei Wei
3. Whispers of the Heart by Jann Rowland
4. Until My Last Breath by Rose Lorin
5. Where There's a William Darcy by Regina Jeffers

Thanks!
Joan

J. W. Garrett (jeannewallacegarrett) | 1376 comments I'm afraid I'm going to have to pass on this round. Real life has me behind on all my reading obligations. I have several books lined up to read so I will be busy. See you in the next round.

Anji | 291 comments I'm still choosing titles to fit in with my self-imposed author name 'alphabet challenge' (having completed my book title one).

1. Heather C. Myers - Swimming in Rain
2. Isabelle Mayfair - Never So Bewitched By Any Woman: A Pride and Prejudice Variation

Going to have to use a bit of licence with my "U" and "Y" choices, as I don't have any published works by an author whose first name begins with those letters. so, here goes:

3. Darcy's Voyage by Kara Lo"U"ise
4. Pride & Prejudice & Assassinations by Leo Charles Ta"Y"lor
5. Darcy on the Hudson: A Pride and Prejudice Re-imagining by Mary L"Y"don Simonsen

Sorry, all!

It totally slipped my mind. My calendar reminded me early and I dismissed the reminder b/c I thought I could remember to do it later that day. Yeah, no. LOL

I'll give you time to get your list up, Dana. Just post your picks as soon as you can and make sure you pick for the name you drew. :)

Sophia (sophiarose) | 917 comments Mod
Here are the names picking for one another. Please let your person know what book you have chosen for them by December 1st. Name on the left picks for the name on the right. Don't forget to stop by and check what your person picked for you, too.
Happy Reading!!!!

I had a lovely time reading Mr. Darcy's Christmas Calendar. Thanks, Kirk!

The holiday magic and a modern heroine appearing in the P&P novel while it was edited was a fun notion.
