I would think given the mention of both Babylon and Macedonia, it would have something to do with Alexander the Great.

It appears that Alexander the Great’s remains may not have made it all the way back to Macedonia after he died. In 2014, an archaeologist may have found his tomb, but her findings “have been blocked by ‘diplomatic intervention’”.So the joke may be that he may have died, but nobody knows where he is?
