Callum | 6 comments Children's book I read it when I was from age maybe 6 to 8 (so 2008-2010) On the front cover I do believe there was both squirrels on a tree and I think there was a house in the back ground. The illustrations where very detailed. Plot Please forgive me for the plot being all jumbled up I have seemed to forgotten the order :) I remember there being a girl and a boy that had visited their grandmothers house and she gave them something. The grandmother was gardening one day and she found something old that she had lost. It is possible that the grandmother gave the children nuts, as I remember a squirrel burry a nut on the in the ground (if it helps I think it was autumn) . From here I don't remember much else except I some how the squirrel had got a chocolate nut and I believe the story ended soon after that. (I think the nut had white chocolate in it) If further information is required I will endeavour to provide it :)

Callum | 6 comments It has a relative context but judging from the cover and the plot it isn't what I'm looking for. I believe the cover had a tree on the left with a squirrel holding on near the trunk

Callum | 6 comments The pictures look to be as the same style as "You are now entering the nut house!"

There's Never Trust a Squirrel, the cover matches, but there don't seem to be humans in it.

Will and Squill's cover sort of matches and there's a little boy, but there are mothers instead of grandmothers.

There's Who Hid the Easter Eggs, which has a squirrel, and grandmother, and grandchildren, but it's about hiding and finding Easter eggs.

There's One More Acorn, which matches your cover description, but I don't see anything about a grandmother.

Possibly Scamper's Year

Callum | 6 comments I really appreciate the the time you've taken to search for this book. I have had a look through suggestions and it isn't any of those. I was quite surprised my self when I couldn't find the book online because I don't remember it having a complex title. I would have thought it was something simple like the squirrel and the nut.
I would have to guess that the book was published before 2000.

Callum | 6 comments I think it is actually scampers year, the cover illustration seems to be a less detailed but the overall scene seems identical to the one I remember. Thanks
