page numbering is wrong

I have read a few books recently of which there have been more pages in the book than there has registered on here when I have gone to update my progress. The current one I'm having the issue with is The Lies We Told by Diane Chamberlain. There are actually 498 pages in my copy

The book record with that ISBN on Goodreads is showing as having 498 pages.

It's telling me it has 374 pages.

When I typed in the title and author to search it the only edition that came up is the one I shelved. This has happened with a few books now

When books are combined, only the default edition (usually the most shelved one) will appear when you search for it by title/author name. Click on the book, then click on "all editions" in order to find the exact one you have.

Or you can search by ISBN in order to make sure that the one you own pops up.

It will always happen.
You can't expect that goodreads always gives you exactly the edition you personally have when you type in the title and author. Some books have hundreds of editions, not only in English but in hundreds of different languages as well.

If you want accuracy on your shelves, search by ISBN number.
