Siobhan's Incomplete Series Challenge 2018 - 2019
UTD before challenge: 4A Song of Ice and Fire - George R.R. Martin [5/7]
Gentleman Bastard - Scott Lynch [3/7]
Legacy of Orisha - Tomi Adeyemi [1/3]
Mistborn Era 2 - Brandon Sanderson [3/4]
UTD in challenge: 10
The Green Bone Saga - Fonda Lee [1/3]
The Stormlight Archive - Brandon Sanderson [3/10]
Arc of a Scythe - Neal Shusterman [2/3]
Skyward - Brandon Sanderson [1/4]
Impossible Times - Mark Lawrence [1/3]
Cassidy Blake - Victoria Schwab [1/2]
Nikolai Duology - Leigh Bardugo [1/2]
Three Dark Crowns - Kendare Blake [3/4]
The Murderbot Diaries - Martha Wells [4/5]
The Age of Madness - Joe Abercrombie [1/3]
(view spoiler)
14 UTD series as of 06/11/19 (that's actually a lie because some of these need moved back to incomplete!!)
Completed in this challenge: 12Grisha Trilogy - Leigh Bardugo
Draconis Memoria - Anthony Ryan
Six of Crows - Leigh Bardugo
The Paper Magician - Charlie N. Holmberg
Stillhouse Lake - Rachel Caine
Farseer - Robin Hobb
Young Elites - Marie Lu
The Liveship Traders - Robin Hobb
The Long Price Quartet - Daniel Abraham
Strange the Dreamer - Laini Taylor
Nadia Stafford - Kelley Armstrong
Red Queen's War - Mark Lawrence
Abandoned: 7Sookie Stackhouse - Charlaine Harris [11/13] - 15/11 - I feel like a failure giving up on this with 2 books to go, but I've heard they're terrible, and it's just not worth the time!
Dexter - Jeff Lindsay [1/8] - 15/11 - I'm never going to continue with these...
Undead - MaryJanice Davidson [3/16] - 15/11 - I haven't read any of this series since I was in school! My tastes have changed.
Seraphina - Rachel Hartman [1/2] - 10/03 - Gutted because I wanted to love this book, but it was boring and mediocre. Not buying book 2.
Rosewater - Tade Thompson [1/3] - 01/05 - This was not a good reading experience for me. It was allover the place and I cared nothing for any of the characters. Can't bear to continue.
Malazan Book of the Fallen - Steven Erikson [1/10] - 30/09 - I might actually come back to this, just not the right time trying to fit it in between so many other books. Just felt like it was making sense, then all the characters changed and I couldn't get my head round it.
The Left Hand of God - Paul Hoffman [1/3] - 30/09 - This just wasn't a good book. The writing annoyed the hell out of me, enough so that I don't care to find out how the story continues.

Yeah! ♥ Your List doesn't look too bad!
I'm going to focus on catching up with other smaller series between buddy reads so I don't undo all my good work! 😂

Of course, I reserved the comment for a reason, who would reserve a comment just for fun? 😂
Just let me know when you plan to read one of the "Maybe" books! I listed my status behind, so I need to catch up to you with most of the series...
But if you should have any spare time this month you could catch up and start book 3 of the Greatcoats end of January with us ;)
Sir Anni wrote: "Of course, I reserved the comment for a reason, who would reserve a comment just for fun? 😂"Mmmh. I feel somehow attacked by this. It's very curious, really. I have no reason to, right? :p

Maybe it's just me and not the comment, you know, the shiny armor, the huge sword, it's ok to feel a little cowed, or even attacked. Because of course it can't be the comment itself...
Aaaah... Makes sense now. I'm not really sure a huge sword would make me afraid though (on the contrary! 😋) We already established I'm a spawn of evil, so maybe it's your blinding presence? :p

Haha XD I will definitely let you know.
Thunderhead (Scythe 2) is already scheduled for March if you can read Scythe before then?
Problem with Greatcoats at the moment is that I don't own the rest of the books yet, or else I would have continued. If I see them on a good deal I'll snap them up! :)

Crossing my fingers that you'll decide to join in on the Eldest (Inheritance Cycle, #2) BR – I feel a bit lonely atm xD Otherwise good luck with your challenge! I like those monthly updates :D
I would love to join, but I fear you'll be finished before I get time! I can only manage one audiobook at a time, and I already delayed Jingo (Discworld) to do Eragon then Temeraire, so I really want to finish it before continuing with Eldest. :/

Your lists are so organized!😲 How are you liking the Winternight series so far? I’m planning on reading the first book later this year!

Haha thank you! XD
I really love it! I'm dying to read The Winter of the Witch but I've had too many buddy reads and haven't managed to fit it in yet.
The first two books just had such a magical feel to them. I wish I'd read them while it was snowing outside with a hot cup of tea though, they're very wintery.

IT IS SOOOOO GOOD! I can only recommend it a 1000 times! I plan on re-reading them all this winter, preferably during a snowstorm with a very large, very spicy cup of tea <3
I need to read it ASAP, then join you for that winter reread! Sounds perfect! :D Maybe even with some mulled wine... :)
Siobhan wrote: "I need to read it ASAP, then join you for that winter reread! Sounds perfect! :D Maybe even with some mulled wine... :)"That'd be awesome! I think mulled wine is the same as what we call glögg and I think that would fit very well: hot and slightly spicy <3

Yes exactly that! And a bit alcoholic XD
I do love this series so much, I'll definitely reread them at some point.
Ah I would love to join you! I only read book one 2years ago, I think! But I loved it so much! I even oen all 3 books, theoretically, but they are traveling all around Germany right now 😅
Well, you have to realistic about these things 😂Book 1 yeah, maybe even book 2 (6 out of 10 readers done), but not the last one (3/10).
I'm afraid it will rather be next year...

Yes, that doesn't hurt either haha xD
They're just so amazing, Vasya is one of my favorite characters ever <3

You just gotta tell them they need to hurry up a lil bit, it's for an important cause after all! 😂 Otherwise I'm sure we can wait or do multiple rereads – I feel like I could read these books again and again 😍
Oh yeah, they're definitely again and again type books. Maybe every winter for the rest of forever...! 😍
