There are three movie adaptations for this one book so they do manage to keep a lot in. Some scenes, such as the ones with the eagles are missing though and the order of other things are slightly altered. They are some of my favourite films and just are such thrilling masterpieces! (hide spoiler)]

I'm glad he escaped and took that ring with him, poor Gollum and his precious. I'm glad they escaped the Goblins, and the Wolves, that was scary, and I loved that the Lord of the Eagles saved them, leave to Gandalf to be friends with him and had helped the him with its wing in the past. Yay! I'm glad you're both continuing on :) Yeah, Fellowship is far longer. I think it's the longest of the LotR trio though, so the rest should be quicker to complete once the first book is finished.

Same! This is my second time reading. The first time was five years ago. I'm only on chapter 1 but I like it much more this time. I'm not even sure what the difference is. Maybe I've just grown to appreciate fantasy more? I don't know. But I'm enjoying it.

I enjoyed my first reading but only really appreciated the story when I returned to it too lol. Maybe it is just that sort of book. One that reveals more aspects of itself every time you return to it.

I am listening to the audio book narrated by Rob Inglis and wow can I just say what a voice that man has its so warm and robust it gives me all the vibes I needed from this book! this is my second try at this book and it is going much better.
I love the imagery toolkit writes with it is very immersive.

Gandalf is such an interesting character I love the way he thinks from all different perspective and they way talks is so funny. he is such a troll*pun intended* I love they way he confuses the troll I was laughing the whole time lol.
Bilbo is much like me the way he thinks he lives a simple life but when action is needed he's doing it. And the instinct to prove those people wrong when they say he can't do something. I love that!
