Hmmmm...I read the first 12 pages & promptly fell asleep. It's either me being very tired or me not enjoying the book. I'm a little sad because I liked the story (ok...so I've seen the movies & I liked those).

Page 63: Bilbo is so funny because he doesn't understand much of what's going on. I have an appreciation for film makers because I realize how much of this story is description but was made into movie magic on screen.

Page 247 - I have no idea why this book was made into three movies. It could easily have been only two because I'm close to the end and only about 'halfway through the second novie'. Total money grab from Hollywood in the movie making.

Interested to see how this wraps up in text format in 60 pages!

Finished the book. Didn't enjoy it as much as I perhaps could have, but that can't be helped when the movie has been so recently seen.
Oh well. Still gave it 3.5 stars.
