i took a personality test and apparently im like 93% jane bennet (and 92% ned flanders but lets not talk about that) so now i want to watch pride and prejudice
also harvard guy gave me my birth control shot bc i was panicking over giving it to myself. jabbing a whole ass needle in my thigh?? no ty maam

he was really adamant about getting my dog an in depth dental cleaning?? ofc i balked about the cost (like 450+) and he deadass offered to pay 400 of it????
and this is coming from the man who didnt even buy ethical eggs bc he says they r too expensive (now he does tho, bc he claims he’s a simp lolol)
i was like “wHY on earth would u offer $400 to somebody who you’ve only known for like two months” and he gave me this spiel about how it’s not for me, it’s for the dog; how he wants to be a good dog dad, how he has a certain affinity for the dog mom (i laughed), and how during undergrad he didnt even feel comfortable buying himself a burrito, and how at his age i’ll be in even more debt (bc law school)
anyways im not sure how long this relationship will last but HOT DAMN will i accept some help for my dog’s dental work!! (even if i initially balked and flat out refused help)
also idk why this man acts like he is 39 when he is just in his early 20s. wsj reading headass

and then yesterday when i told him not to throw out a salsa jar bc we could use it as a drinking glass he said “i cant believe i married a hoarder” and then didnt realize his mess up until a few moments later 😂😂😂

I’m taking fall semester off to work full time for a campaign!
I get 3.5k per month (July thru Election Day) with health insurance :)
Most of it will go towards school expenses, but I plan on socking 2k away for a solo vacation somewhere nice (either Boston to see the art museums and catch up w Harvard pals, or London for more museums😂)

I ended up quitting my job six weeks in lmao and just doing school fulltime with nannying on the side. I did get to use my health insurance for a dentist appointment though!
And harvard guy and I have been in a wonderfully dysfunctional/toxic relationship lol.
I'm also really doubling down on LSAT studying. If harvard guy goes to his "safety for his safety" T-14 and I do supremely well on the LSAT, we might go to the same law school. He suggested we study together but I think I'd feel so dumb next to him! He studied for two weeks for the GRE and got an exceptional score, and I can barely do basic math hahaha. I do pretty well on the LSAT (find it fun actually) except logic games, which are the bane of my existence but apparently is the easiest section to improve in.
I haven't seen my family since I moved into my apartment back in July, which sucks. It's not like anybody I know has a condition that would make them more vulnerable (except my grandfather) but I guess we're all being cautious/ staying safe.
I also binge read the Mortal Instruments series (I'm on #4 currently). I've wanted to read it since middle school, but I finally got around to reading it now. It's so good! I can't believe I put it off this long. I think the cover art kind of threw me off LOL.
I got a cool mug yesterday from a gift shop that is shaped like a terra cotta pot and can hold a lot a chocolate milk. yum

oh and i also got an iud in september!! gd bless health insurance bc without it i think mine would've cost like 1000. not to mention that i had to get an ultrasound (twice!!) bc of some minor snafus. all in all though, i would recommend the iud as a solid form of bc.
I really hope I can dedicate myself to LSAT prep this time around. I tried to in May with Khan Academy and it didn't really pan out. But now I have more of a sense of urgency-- I think I'll register for a testdate in August so I have a firm deadline to motivate me.
Intially, I didn't have my sights set on a T14 law school (maybe a T25 or T30, most realistically a T50 in-state). But ever since Harvard guy mentioned law school (do I still call him that even though we've been dating since February? lol) and that I could get into a T14 with a high 160s, I feel more empowered to begin. It's very likely my GPA will still be my undoing if I aim for a T14, but it's worth a shot!
His mention of law school was puzzling though. I have a bit until graduation and he's going to work at his current company for at least another year or two. And honestly, he doesn't ever talk about "our" future. When he talks about the future, it's just him or some mythical spouse (in regards to having a "future hot ex-wife", the spouse he calculated into his retirement plan, etc.) He's broken up with me multiple times so it was a little shocking to hear him mention a future with me considered.
Back to LSAT prep lol. I told Harvard guy I didn't even know where to begin- should I buy a thousand dollar course I can't afford? Continue to struggle on Khan Academy? He said something like how I should ask somebody who knows how to prep... (*cough cough* HIM)... so I bit. He recommended that I buy 10 tests from LSAC and this book by Mike Kim. r/LSAT gives the impression that you won't succeed in LSAT prep without dropping thousands, but this book was the number one selling test prep guide. Hopefully I can trudge through the 600 pages. But then again, I barely looked at my SAT prep book back in HS lmao (and left myself to review geometry the night before!). Some people are just gifted at test-taking, myself not included. Harvard guy is a pro test taker though: the SAT, GRE, LSAT (he took it back in undergrad for FUN), and national exams didn't phase him (he did so well he got to meet the President of Mexico twice).I bet this crazy man would even take the MCAT if he could.
