Fictional story. A group of teens who witness a terrorist attack and have to go into the witness protection program

I am trying to remember the series I read back in High school. But I loved the series! any help or suggestions as well would be appreciated. :)
Fiction. A young group of teens witness a terrorist crime while on a tour in the eastern states and have to go into Witness protection program. The main character is a girl, she was nominated to go on a tour over the summer to a leadership activity/tour. There is a slight love triangle thing going on with two of the boys in the group. The friend group sees some kind of crime and the bad guys start to follow them in an attempt to catch them. The teenagers contact the FBI when they visit the headquarters the next day. They all eventually GET caught and rescued. I know that its a series of books. The first one she goes back home but in the second she has to go into the witness protection program and becomes a cheerleader then has to act like a biker chick to escape again and change identity again. There was another book after that where the original group of kids have to get together again and i think leave the country? but i didnt read that one. I read this back in 2013/2014. I know the author is a woman.
