Awesome! Amanda and I will be reading The Long Game on November 20th, does that work?

Jacquelyn Simon (jacquelynrose94) | 2166 comments Here are my shelves for series I’m hoping to either finish or start in November and December.

On my “to finish” shelf, if I listed the first book in the series, that means I need to reread the series from the beginning.

I think I should be fine, I’d listen to it on audio but I think I have to squeeze it in. If not, I don’t have to reread it 😊

For The Amateurs, you need to read book 2 and 3 right? i can do those with you, need to read book 1 first, but it's on the small side so should only take a few hours

and i'm super tempted to do Shopaholic with you, i read the whole series a few years back but love them so much!

message 178: by [deleted user] (new)

sorry if this has already been stated in the rules or on this chat, but how long should our reviews be, assuming they’re written once finishing a book instead of updates throughout reading a book

I don't think there are exact rules for how long it should be but maybe around 10 sentences?
For more exact rules you can ask Abbie or Sarah at the main chat as they are hosting this challenge :)

what time zone are we basing the dates off? it probably doesn’t matter i just wanna get it down to the exact time if i wanted to squeeze in an extra book or two

message 197: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments The challenge officially goes by goodreads time stamp which is for pst but you can choose to use that or the time zone you are in. But you stick to that for both your start and end time.

message 198: by [deleted user] (new)

@Lisa did you want to set a finish date?
how long will itlikely take you to finish

message 199: by Jess (new)

Jess | 8 comments Just double checking before it starts, we can carry on series that we have already started, can’t we? For example if i had read the first two books in a series before the challenge, I can carry on during the challenge but the first two books won’t count towards any points?

Yes, you can read any volume in a series. You can even skip volumes. So say you read the first 2 books and you read 3 in Nov but don't have 4 so you just go to book 5 you can. Whatever works for you. :)
